I’d love to know your favorite reveal, but mine was for sure Walt Disney being added to Carousel of Progress.

Carousel of Progress is one of my favorite rides at any Disney Park for so many reasons, including that I sing ‘There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow’ to my daughter most nights before she goes to bed. I just love that we get to sit in a place for 20 minutes and watch the evolution of the American family. It also has so much great history, with it being one of Walt’s most cherished attractions and the one that debuted at the New York World’s Fair in 1964.

If I had to pick a second, it would definitely be Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Hexed! It looks like such a beautiful film with a secret world of magic and a tale about a teenage boy who thinks he’s unusual. However, it turns out what he thinks is “not normal” is actually the truth that he has magical powers and is even more special than he could ever imagine.

I was invited to Walt Disney Imagineering to learn how they were bringing Walt Disney to life as an Audio-Animatronics figure, go to Papenburg, Germany, to learn how the Disney Destiny was built, tell the stories of Walt Disney and the start of the company alongside such films as The Lion King (My favorite!) and Cinderella, cover the biggest Disney Parks events like Disneyland’s Pixar Fest and Disney World’s Cool Kid Summer, review Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, got to D23 and Destination D23, and so much more.

I love being able to share the stories of these incredible people, and this will be a place for me to do that even more than I do on IGN.com and my podcast, Talking Disney Magic.

I’ll bring you along on my media trips, cover the biggest news, discuss the most interesting history, celebrate our love of Disney food, cook some awesome recipes together, and so much more.
